Relay gold for Nayade swimming team

The relay team of Eindhoven student swim club Nayade won the 4x100 meter freestyle relay at the Open Dutch Short Course Championships in Tilburg. The team, with TU/e students Ruud van Bommel (Built Environment), and Stefan Jacobs (Innovation management), beat all teams in an exciting race.

The four students of the winning relay team (above students, and Fontys students Tom Lommers and Arjen van der Meulen), are part of the Top Sports Training Center (TTC) and practice with trainers Koen de Haan and Rik op het Veld every morning at the Students Sports Center on TU/e campus.

Short Course pools are 25 meters in length. The most important competitions, including the Olympic Games, are held in 50-meter pools.
