“I play even better when I’m hungover”

The internal futsal competition has many teams that compete against each other in seven different leagues. The teams from the two top leagues that play in the afternoon (leagues 1 to 4) and the teams from the first league that play in the evening (A, B and C), are the best performing teams overall. On Monday afternoon, B.I.G and FC Intimidatie played against each other for a position at the top of the table.

FC Intimidatie needed a win to overtake B.I.G. and move to the top of the table of League 2. But even then, B.I.G. would have kept the title faith in its own hands, since it still has one more game to play. However, all suspension disappeared as B.I.G. beat FC Intimidatie 3-0 on Monday afternoon. B.I.G. can no longer be overtaken and will now go head-to-head with the winners of League 1 and League A for the unofficial tittle of spring champion.

Totelos board member Joren Hansen explains: “The internal futsal competition, which is very popular among students, doesn’t really have an official overall winner. However, the three top-ranking teams will be invited to play against each other one more time during the exam period to determine who the official winner will be.”
