TU/e and partners to open office in Brussels

Along with its European partner universities from Germany, Denmark, and Switzerland united in the EuroTech Universities partnership, TU/e will be opening an office in Brussels tomorrow. The office will be manned permanently and Gerard Verschuren of Innovation Lab will be there two days a week.

With direct funding dwindling and the disappearance of research grants that were paid from natural gas profits until very recently, the so-called FES funds, Dutch universities and researchers need to shift their focus to European funds as well. It makes sense for TU/e to collaborate with Technische Universität München (TUM), Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in the partnership EuroTech Universities, then. On Thursday, October 11, the partnership will be opening an office at Square de Meeûs 23 in Brussels.
