No extended campus parties for now

It could be a while before events on campus get their 3 o'clock curfew. The city wants to be sure resident and other stakeholders are okay with a pilot of three parties until three a.m. first.

Eindhoven councilor Bianca van Kaathoven explained the situation in a council meeting last Tuesday, in a response to a resolution proposed by a number of council members. The results of the pilot will be available mid-December.

Several students, united in the Markhal Events taskforce, have been trying to turn Markthal into an event location since 2013. The initiative received extra attention when in June a Hajraa party was cut short at 1 a.m., giving rise to council questions.
