Patrick Groothuis forerunner and future O&S director

Patrick Groothuis has been appointed forerunner and future director of 'Onderwijs en Studentenzaken' (Education and Student Affairs). This was announced last week by the Executive Board. Groothuis is currently still managing director of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (W&I). Since December 2015 he has also been acting director of STU. He will leave his position at W&I on or before July 1st. It is not yet known who will succeed him.

This TU/e service will be responsible for auxiliary education activities delivered both in the departments and centrally. A head of O&S will be appointed for each department. This position will report to the dean and be managed on a daily basis by the O&S director. The new service will start to become operational in early 2017.
