It's the small things that make all the difference...

Am I alone in feeling this way? That it takes only the simplest thing and the tears start to well, or I get a lump in my throat and need to swallow. It's no doubt the isolation that is doing this to me. The unending stream of misery that is being tipped over us. The feeling of being shut away in your own small cocoon. And then when something uplifting happens, it has an effect on me. I am moved and feel so happy with other people. It may be a card, a sweet mail, an app, but just as easily an initiative here at our university. Something that people do for others, selflessly. The TU/e Listening Line is just such an initiative. Simply being there for each other when we are going through a difficult patch, for TU/e people, by TU/e people.

Keep up the team spirit!
