In the flow at GLOW with ‘Shift’

We all know the feeling: finally, your train seems to start moving, when in fact it’s the train next to yours that’s leaving the platform. It’s this alienating feeling ID students are trying to recreate with ‘Shift’, the TU/e light installation that will be exhibited in the city center during GLOW this November. The installation was constructed in light of a project by the Intelligent Lighting Institute.

After TU/e’s major contribution to GLOW last year, when over 300,000 people visited campus, the organization wanted TU/e to return for future editions as well. OPENLIGHT, the creative lab of the Intelligent Lighting Institute of TU/e therefore assigned eighteen Master students of ID with the task of developing a lighting installation for GLOW 2012.
