Colorful festival on TU/e grounds
Last Friday, dozens of visitors were covered in powder that was being thrown around on the TeMa plot. It made for a colorful picture. The celebration of the Indian Holi festival was scheduled for two weeks ago, during Asia Week, but it was canceled because of the weather.
Visitors were advised to wear old clothes. Not a bad idea, since each and every one of them ended up covered in colors. The sunny weather contributed to the fun atmosphere and excited group of people. Not only Indians were present at 'Holi, festival of colors' - quite a few Dutch and people from other nationalities attended the event. Holi is a Hindu festival that involves dancing, eating, singing and throwing around colored powder. For an impression of last Friday, check out the video below.
