“We’ve portrayed TU/e in a correct light. The meetings have been pleasant.” Words from Rector prof.dr.ir. Hans van Duijn and university secretary dr. Nicole Ummelen regarding the institutional assessment that was held last week. For now, the committee will refrain from feedback. There will be another, more in-depth assessment in December, which will mostly focus on the departments of Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics & Computer Science, and Built Environment.
The committee will issue another verdict later that month, and in February TU/e will know whether or not it has met all criteria. The committee of the NVAO (Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders) is trying to determine if TU/e has an effective quality care system to warrant the quality of its programs.
