Pure replaces Metis
Since this week TU/e has a new research information system, Pure, in which all scientific publications are kept up to date. The system replaces the outdated Metis system, which served for some thirty years. In Pure researchers can from now on simply modify their own data – such as biography, areas of expertise and profile photos - via a web browser. In addition, new publications are automatically linked to their Pure profiles – if desired.
Information from Pure is shown in the existing ‘Employee Pages’ and via the TU/e repository. Whereas in Metis all data needed to be entered manually, often by the secretariats of the research groups, Pure can simply be updated by the researchers themselves by synchronizing from databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. Cooperative ventures can also be made visible in Pure, by linking a research project to publications and project partners. Moreover, the system provides the option of linking to rough research data. Scientists and other employees can log in on pure.tue.nl.
