Tachos and TAU triumph at Houses & Societies Race

The participants in the Houses & Societies Race (Huizen & Disputenrace) were lucky with Wednesday evening's glorious weather. Fifty teams of largely inexperienced rowers raced over a distance of 250 meters to the finish line on the Eindhoven Canal. Afterwards a party was held. Women's society Animo of E.S.R. Thêta handled the organization.

Residents of student houses, society members, committee members and groups of friends 'battled' against each other Wednesday evening on the Eindhoven Canal. The inexperienced rowers competed against each other and the experienced rowers had their own competition. Tachos won pie and a medal for the fastest time among the experienced rowers and the TAU society received the same prizes for the best time among the non-rowers.

Mathematics student Collin Wagenmakers made a short film of the event.
