MetaForum wins first international prize

The MetaForum building landed its first international prize last Friday, September 20. The construction won a LEAF Award in the category ‘Refurbishment of the Year’, one of nine awards categories.

The tenth edition of the LEAF Awards was held last Friday. At the event, the new MetaForum building designed by Ector Hoogstad Architects came in first in its category. The Refurbishment of the Year Award is meant for buildings that are ‘recycled’ in a way that displays the most creative use of materials, space, and interior design.

The LEAF Awards are annual prizes for architecture presented to winners in a number of categories. They are considered an acknowledgement of innovative architectural design, and the annual event is organized by the Leading European Architects Forum (LEAF), which was founded in 2001.
