Supercomputing Brabant officially launches

Fire department investigates gas smell on TU/e campus

September 22, 2026 - A gas smell was detected around 9:00 this morning at the south-west border of the TU/e campus, where the Limbopad starts. The TU/e fire department was called in because of the possibility of a gas leak and is taking measurements in the area. To ensure the safety of TU/e students and staff, fences have been placed, including at the Limbopad.

TU/e gives away 20 bikes for Bike Week

September 18, 2026 – As part of Brainport Bike Week (September 12–22), TU/e is giving away a total of twenty second-hand bikes to students. The bicycles were previously used as loan bikes for employees. Those are now being replaced by the new lustrum bicycles, which were recently purchased when professors visited local school by bike. The old – but still perfectly good – loan bikes will get a new lease on life this way.
