It is with great sadness that we heard the news that James Kandathil Jacob (born 27 April 1987 in India) has lost his life through a tragic accident in Eindhoven and passed away on 5 July, 2013.

James Kandathil Jacob was a student from India of the Automotive Technology MSc curriculum. He did his specialization and MSc project in the Dynamics and Control group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. In particular he managed to come up with an improved command steering system for a long and heavy vehicle. He graduated on 19 October 2012, after which he found a job in automotive in the Eindhoven region. James is remembered as a friendly, intelligent and motivated student.

Our deepest sympathy goes to James’ relatives, friends and colleagues.
