CLMN | The Engineers’ Analogy

22/09/2015

Engineering seems to have obtained an interesting hold on almost every aspect of our lives that thinking without it seems to have removed the essence from every train of thought we initiate. My observational skills have created a memory database that notifies me on a daily basis that there are at least two circumstances in a day when I end up comparing an everyday event to a scientific theory or a technical jargon.

Reminiscing on happy times over cups of coffee: #include<coffeebreak.h> /*insert F5*/

Walking through desire paths to get to the bus stop: Arguments that Pythagoras’ theorem is enough evidence for the closest path.

Scaring your almost nauseous aerophobic friend: Schrodinger’s theory of taking the flight now as well as not taking it..!

Hypothetical paradigms: Determining how many code errors pop while compiling that string of if’s.

Anything on Wheels: Torque and speed equation

Momentary loss of words: Caught in the process of tap change in my transformer

Trying to open that stubborn jar: Inertia as a concept

Physical fitness: Angle of elevation, distance, speed to calculate the amount of calories burnt

Location or directions: Always in terms of obtuse, right or acute angles

Universe and the infinity beyond: Leminscate and 1/0

A wave of appreciation swells in most of our hearts as we watch Sheldon Cooper, oblivious to that little nerd inside each of us. The next time you blurt out those statements inherently present in that part of your brain that needs no conscious effort, make sure you take a count! Do let me know if it crosses five, I’m looking for inspiration...!
